Hello, everybody!
I am really sorry for being here so rarely. I love Blogland and it's not the lack of time that actually stops me from posting, but the way I usually feel at the end of a busy day - no force for anything, even for commenting your posts, tired, and sometimes having to work again for the next morning.

I'm so happy and relieved now for I finished the big translation a couple of days ago . And here I am with my new post!:-)
It'll be nothing special... Just several photos from some lovely moments that I had meanwhile...

Имах късмет за четвърти или пети път в живота си да видя дъга. Тя се появи и изчезна изключително бързо, малко хора я забелязаха, но беше приказна гледка!

My husband and I, we had the rare chance to see a rainbow after a 10 minute afternoon rain! I think very few people noticed it! It vanished as quickly as it had appeared!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY - lots of love before and after the feast day, too!!

TO KEEP HIM WARM

Реших да изплета зимен пуловер за сина ми. Той поиска да има фигури - техника, непозната за мен. Приятелка - опитна плетачка, ми предаде първия урок. Ето как завърши  той.:)

I hadn't knitted for ages! After years of knitting hats, shawls, pullovers and cardigans for my family and me (some of which we still wear), I had stopped knitting.

But last autumn I decided to knit a winter pullover for my son. He wanted it with reindeers. To knit figures was a technique, completely unknown to me. I took a brief lesson from a friend of mine - an experienced knitter, just to get the idea of how to manage two different colours of yarn. This is my first attempt.:)

От доста години не бях хващала куките. Купих прежда и се захванах за работа. На моменти, признавам си, се поизмъчих. Но пък се научих да разчитам схеми. Да създавам мои. Успях да изплета елхички, снежинки и дори еленчета!

I bought the yarn, chose the patterns and not long after that there I was knitting Christmas-trees, snowflakes and reindeers!... Reading schemes... Constructing new ones...

Counting stitches and rows, unknitting, murmuring, knitting, counting again...

Припомних си, че освен желанието са нужни и други неща: упоритост, постоянство, точни мерки, точни бримки. Да следвам свободно въображението си. Да експериментирам. И най-вече - да разпределя времето си правилно. (Вярвам, че следващият път резултатът ще е по-добър!)

I learned several lessons... To be patient, to be persistent, not to give up, to follow my imagination, to measure correctly, to organize my time better, to learn from my mistakes... (I believe next time I'll enjoy a better result!)

Коледната ваканция се топеше, а аз не бях готова, но в крайна сметка завърших пуловера навреме. И студентът отлетя с него - грижливо сгънат в багажа му.:)

The Christmas Vacation was nearing its end and I was afraid I wouldn't be ready on time. But I did it, almost in the last moment.;)

And my son parted for uni with the pullover in his luggage and a smile on his face!

Надявам се да му топли! Нали е плетен с любов...

Hope it will keep him warm! My love is weaved in it...

I was so much in a hurry that I didn't have enough time for  photos.:(

Ето я и нея!... Вече са двама. Отново заедно. Спокойни и влюбени. След няколкомесечен полет над континенти, океани и морета... О, ако щъркелите можеха да говорят - какво ли щяха да ни разкажат за пътешествията си?

So here they are... He and She. Two lovely storks. Together again. After a long fly across the world - over continents, oceans and seas. Can you imagine that?? Oh, if they could tell us about their adventures!

ВЕЧЕРЯ ЗА ДВАМА / A DINNER FOR TWO

Нашето момченце порасна и отлетя... Да следва. Да открие света. Да опознае себе си. Да намери призванието си.
Толкова много ни липсва!...

Our birdie-son flew away! To study at Uni. To explore the big, big world. To begin his independent life and learn lots of new things. 
He's not that sweet, little boy anymore (but for us he'll always be). He's a handsome young man now, though... still a  teenager!:0 )

 

Вечерите ни са странно тихи и дълги. Къщата е празна. Който го е преживял, ме разбира.
Our evenings are long and somehow silent. The house is empty! The clock hands don't run quickly... Some of you know what I mean, don't you?:)

Понякога, за разтуха, вадя една Много Специална Чаша и пия кафето си в нея!:0)
Everything's different - for him and for us. We miss him so much! Sometimes, when Mummy feels lonely, she takes out a Very Special Cup and drinks her coffee in it!:0)

 

Няма да забравя дългите опашки пред телефонните кабини в Централна поща-София през моите студентски години. Чакаш, чакаш - понякога напразно. Нямаше мобилни, нямаше как да предупредиш кога ще се обадиш...:(
Сега сме късметлии, че имаме Интернет и Скайп! Това смекчава болката...
Still we are happy to live in the era of Internet and Skype! This kind of connection eases the pain...:)
