TO HELP A FRIEND

Hello, everyone!
Blogging has turned into an important part of our lives. We all have different motifs and  necessities to keep doing it... During that journey we make discoveries - about the world, about the others, about ourselves. When we share, we trust each other and it's so thrilling to feel a support and understanding from someone, you have never seen, but the mutual contact with whom brings you joy and makes you feel good!
I am sure you'll agree with me that one of the most beautiful sides of blogging is finding new friends. I haven't  expected that, but today I am happy to say  that I met several special persons, who became very dear to my heart! One of them is Gretel Parker.

Perhaps some of you know her and others - don't. She's a wonderful, sincere, warm-hearted  person, a talented illustrator and a needle felt master. I love her very much! She was the first one to follow my blog and thus encouraged me -  more than 3 years ago. I have one of her beautiful books, sent together with lots of sweet gifts.
Unfortuntely, right now,  Gretel is passing through a very sad and hard period of her life....
Something that could happen to everyone of us and those who have had such an experience know how much it hurts and how many sweet cares one needs to recover...
Gretel has a lot of friends who, as you see, try to ease her pain. (Thank you, Jessie and Charlotte!)
I dare to hope that some of you can help her, too!...

УМОРА / FATIGUE

Здравейте!
Тия дни изненадващо установих, че съм преситена от блогиране. Това ме радва, защото означава, че не съм се пристрастила! Натрупалата се умора се дължи на много неша. Затова за малко ще се оттегля, но все пак ще следя от време на време новите публикации.  Интересно ми е какво друго ще правя през откриващото се свободно време!

Last week I wrote an entry for a call for papers. In English. I edited it several times to achieve a certain number of words. I had a deadline. It was interesting, but quite exhausting. When I sent it on Saturday, I saw how many of your new posts I had missed. I couldn't swim in this sea of blogs and climb on every boat. I had no energy.  I began to slide and fall. So... that's how I realized I was tired of... blogging. It was such an unexpected discovery! I had been worrying lately that I was addicted to it, but what a relief to know I am not! Every morning one and the same thing happens (when I stay at home): I wake up, do some home duties, make a coffee and hurry to switch on the computer. I switch it off long after midnight, when everyone in the house is asleep. To be honest, I spend a big part of my days in front of the desktop. My journey in the land of blogs gives me a lot (the only certain joy every day, even in the most desperate ones), but takes  a lot of my time... What an irony - just now, when I am free and have no work engagements, I feel overdozed with blogging, so I think it's time for a short break. I won't stop reading blogs, I'll have a look from time to time, but won't be active in my comments. I hope my fatigue, which has many other reasons, will vanish before Christmas (just kidding!) Depending on how long this is going to last (a week or two), I'm just curious to see what other things I'll make instead.

All the papercuts, without the first one, are from the series "Something from nothing", i.e they are created from leftovers.

Миналата седмица получих чудесно допълнение към книгата на Гретел Паркър. В плик с марки, както си му е редът! А вътре - много изненади...

Last week I was happy to receive  a big envelope with wonderful stamps from  Gretel. With a lot of surprises inside. Thank you, Gretel!!!

НОВА КНИГА И СПОМЕН ЗА ПРОЛЕТТА / A NEW BOOK AND A MEMORY OF SPRING

Ето я и последната книга, която очаквах да пристигне от Англия това лято - "Кексчетата на госпожа Мишка".

Here is the last book I waited to arrive from England this summer - "Mrs.Mouses's Cupcakes".

 Неин илюстратор е  Гретел Паркър - верен приятел на моя блог от момента на създаването му.

It's illustrated by Gretel Parker - a true friend of my blog since its very beginning. In fact Gretel was my first follower and maybe she doesn't еven suppose how much she had encouraged me to make my first steps and say my first words in the blogging space! Thank you, Gretel!!

Рисунките са от оня тип, който трайно задържа вниманието на малкото дете с богатството на детайлите и разнообразието от цветове. Ог тях то може да усвоява думи и понятия, а също и да  се учи да разказва. Особеното в книжката е не историята, а главните персонажи и част от предметите, които са изработени от филц  - Гретел е голям майстор в т.нар. needle felting (филцоване с игла).

The illustrations attract the attention with the variety of details and colours. And looking at them the child can learn not only new words and definitions, but to retell a story better and better. One of the very special things in the book is that the personages and some of the objects are needle felted by Gretel. She's very good at that craft (by my humble opinion.)!

Освен това някои от страниците в книгата са триизмерни и това определено ще е забавно за малките читатели. Кулата от филцови кексчета ми е любима!:)

Besides, some of the pages are in 3-D  and the young readers  will definitely enjoy it! The tower of felted cupcakes is my favourite!:)

И за да добиете представа какъв  великолепен човек е Гретел, потопете се в атмосферата на голямото благотворително, весело  кексово парти, което тя организира през май, за да събере средства за деца, останали без родители, докато рекламира по най-сладурския начин книгите си!

And last, but not least... If you don't know what a wonderful person Gretel is or have missed some of her posts, read about the amazing, hilarious cupcake party she made in May, in order to raise money for children who have lost their parents! In such a brilliant way!  I'm in awe!!

В непоносимите за мен жеги (лятото определено не е мой сезон!) си припомних  пролетния възторг и една събота през май, когато ИЗБЯГАХМЕ семейно от шумотевицата, праха и лудницата на града...


I cannot bear the summer  heat (definetely this is not my season!)... How I long for the springtime and that Saturday in May, when my family ESCAPED from the city noise and dust...

Сред природата, преливаща във всички нюанси на зеленото...

Into the greenish countryside...

Където паячета си похапваха...

Where spiders were having their lunch...

Свенливи цветенца премигваха сред тревите...

Tiny flowers were hiding shyly in the grass...

С

Невиждани храсти нежно ухаеха...

Bushes unseen were spreading their tender fragrance...

И всичко край нас беше новородено, свежо и красиво...

And everything around was newborn, fresh and beautiful...

Препичахме се на слънчице като котараци, промъкнали се безплатно на птичия концерт, докато душите ни се отпуснаха. И връщането в хаоса на града стана възможно.


We basked in the sun like cats, having sneaked without tickets to the birds' concert, until we felt that our return to the city chaos was already possible.
